Annual Report
Here For Good
2010-2011 Annual Report
In 2010-2011, The Dallas Foundation invested in its future in several ways – one of them was moving its offices to the historic Old Parkland campus on Maple Avenue. The Dallas Foundation joins other like-minded organizations that share a collective vision for the future of Dallas.
New Events
Good Works Under 40 was launched to help nurture future leaders in philanthropy and volunteerism. The competition celebrates outstanding community volunteers under age 40, and the 2010 winner was selected from more than 100 nominees. Good Works Under 40 has now become an annual event due to its first-year success.
Another new event, Camp Philanthropy launched in July 2011. Friends of the Foundation and their children participated in an event that encourages giving and service as a family activity. More than 20 individuals participated in this year’s program at the North Texas Food Bank.
New Program
This year, The Dallas Foundation introduced Giving for Good cards. The cards work like a retail gift card, can be purchased in denominations of $25, $50 or $100, and are designed to promote charitable giving in a fun and meaningful way. From there, they can be distributed as gifts to friends, family or colleagues. The recipient of the card selects charities to receive a gift of that amount. For complete information click here.
Community Partnerships
The Dallas Foundation continued partnerships with numerous community and civic organizations. Learn more about Zero to Five Funders’ Collaborative, TRIAD and DonorBridge.
