Supports the Arts in Dallas County. Grants from this fund tend to be performance-related to honor the spirit of Mr. Adoue. Grants for arts education in the schools are typically not considered.

Louis B. and Mary Ratliff Fund for Critical Needs
Help provide basic necessities of life, including food, clothing, emergency and transitional shelter, and medical care, to persons, particularly families, who are low-income, indigent, homeless, or ill.
$300,000-$350,000 available to grant annually

Annie L. Stevens Fund

Assists low-income older adults or disabled, abused, neglected or economically disadvantaged children
$200,000 to $250,000 available to grant annually

Elizabeth T. Robinson Fund
To assist children in need and older adults
$15,000 to $30,000 available to grant annually

Bertice Carter Speck Fund
Assists disabled, blind, deaf, or economically disadvantaged children
$40,000 to $60,000 available to grant annually

Jalonick Family Memorial Funds (3 funds)
In support of agencies that provide medical care and supportive programs for low-income persons with breast cancer.
$20,000 to $30,000 available to grant annually

For the support of children and adult victims of domestic violence
$20,000 to $30,000 available to grant annually

For the education of mentally handicapped and developmentally disabled children, to enable them to lead productive lives.
$20,000 to $30,000 available to grant annually

Morris Hartley Morgan, Jr. Fund

To assist low-income children who are suffering from debilitating diseases such as diabetes or cancer
$50,000 to $75,000 available to grant annually

Lucile W. and George R. Pattullo Fund
To assist African-American citizens
$10,000 to $15,000 available to grant annually

Louis B. and Mary Ratliff Fund for Animal Welfare
Promotes the health and welfare of companion animals, including prevention of cruelty to animals; provision of veterinary care to animals whose owners cannot otherwise pay for their care; funding of spay and neuter programs; support of feral cat protection projects; creation and operation of sanctuaries for companion animals; promotion of responsible pet ownership; support of animal shelters; and promotion of the adoption of stray and unwanted animals.

Betty Pope Fund
To assist animals
$1,000 to $1,300 available to grant annually

Erin Wylie Fund
To promote animal welfare and wildlife conservation and protection
$1,000 to $1,200 available to grant annually

James D. Webb Fund
For the research and cure of Parkinson's disease
$8,000 to $10,000 available to grant annually

Decherd Family Fund
Created by Maureen H. and Robert W. Decherd, the purpose of this fund rotates each year to honor individuals of special significance to the Decherd Family. $1,500 to $2,000 is available to grant annually. Please note the grant purposes through 2016:

  • 2013 - Research into congestive heart failure in honor of William K. Whited
  • 2014 - Support of education for women in business in honor of Helen M. Roter
  • 2015 - Support of the Church of Christ in honor of Virgie Parham
  • 2016 - Support of education for African-American women in honor of Johnnie Mae Jackson
