Since its founding in 1929, The Dallas Foundation has awarded more than $365 million in grants to more than 2,400 nonprofit agencies. And we want to do more. We’re always looking for innovative approaches to solving community problems and meeting community needs.

Who Can Apply?

The Foundation considers grant proposals from tax-exempt nonprofit organizations for a variety of charitable purposes in Dallas County. Grants may be awarded for capital projects, programs, capacity building or general operating support. We give priority to proposals that:

  • Are likely to make a clear difference in the quality of life for a substantial number of people within Dallas County
  • Promote cooperation and collaboration among agencies in meeting critical needs
