Community Matters: The Post-Pandemic State of Education in Dallas

COVID significantly disrupted educational momentum in schools. Although our children are back in the classroom, the return to in-person learning has not brought a return to normal. How can the philanthropic community respond to support our students and teachers?

In the three years since 2020, the effects of COVID have had major, often inequitable, effects on the overall development, learning, and wellbeing of students, which has left educators, funders, and advocates searching for the road to recovery. We have an opportunity for this path forward to lead somewhere new, enabling our education system to rise from the ashes of the pandemic transformed into one that provides our children with a more flexible, resilient, and equitable K-12 experience.

Join Chief Impact Officer Drexell Owusu in conversation with local education leaders from Commit PartnershipDallas ISD, and Uplift Education as they discuss the social and emotional impact the pandemic has placed on students and teachers, and learn about solutions to support academic achievement post-COVID.
