About Dr. Garica Sanford

Garica Sanford, PsyD is a passionate leader committed to social change and impact. Trained as a clinical child and family psychologist, Dr. Sanford has been a leader in the mental health and non-profit space for more than 10 years. As a mental health professional, Dr. Sanford has expertise in complex trauma including racial and generational trauma, complicated familial systems, couples and family therapy, and cultural humility. Currently, Dr. Sanford is as a director at a non-profit organization that provides mental health, education, and training throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex.  In her role, she helps to carry forth provision of the therapeutic services offered by the agency to more than 5,000 people each year. Dr. Sanford is also one of the voices leading the organization’s understanding of and effort towards being a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization. In addition to her role as a psychologist, Dr. Sanford provides executive coaching to powerful, high-achieving women leaders across varied sectors committed to impacting community and social change. As an executive coach, Dr. Sanford partners with clients to create space for exploration of personal, professional, and organizational development as they journey to embody integral leadership. Collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and continuous learning are foundational in all aspects of her practice as a coach, psychologist, and director.
