The Dallas Foundation Announces $1.5M in Most Recent Grant Funding Cycle

Texas’ First Community Foundation Distributes Critical Funds To 45 Local Nonprofits Through Its 2023 Annual Field of Interest Grants

DALLAS – June 20, 2023 – The Dallas Foundation, the first community foundation in Texas, is proud to announce $1.5M in grants to 45 local organizations which will impact thousands of individuals across Greater Dallas. These particular grants, awarded from the organization’s Field of Interest Funds, are endowed funds which are customized to align with a donor’s interest in a specific cause. Historically, the funds each year cover a range of issues, including the arts, critical needs, children & families, and animal welfare.

These grants are awarded from funds named for the donors who established them and prioritize partnerships that meet today’s pressing needs while positioning Greater Dallas for a brighter, more equitable tomorrow.

“These Field of Interest grants empower organizations to have a profound impact in our city. Beyond the dollars, these grants are vehicles of change and social progress, supporting the nonprofits who strive to make a difference, and, ultimately, make Dallas brighter and more equitable,” said Julie Diaz, Interim President & CEO of The Dallas Foundation. “The enduring support we are able to provide to these causes identified by our donors is made possible through their remarkable generosity, many of whom entrusted The Dallas Foundation with their philanthropic resources decades ago, ensuring perpetual impact.”
