Heather announcement

Foundation Welcomes New Vice President of Finance & Operations

Heather L. Flabiano, Ph.D. has joined The Dallas Foundation as our new Vice President of Finance and Operations.

Heather most recently served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Her previous posts include service as the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration at St. Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice, the CFO of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, the Director of Fund Distribution for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, a Finance Officer for the Office of the Provost at Southern Methodist University and an Accountant on the Assurance & Advisory Services Team at Deloitte Dallas. Heather earned her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Dallas and focused her dissertation research on the purpose and utilization of private college and university endowments.

Heather’s combination of work experiences uniquely positions her to return to Dallas and step into the role being vacated by our current CFO Tim Nealon. She will have an integral role in the Foundation’s work as we close in on our centennial anniversary, pursue our strategic goals and maintain the Foundation’s long-standing reputation as a trusted partner and exemplary steward of donor and community resources.

Heather and Tim will work closely during the transition over the coming weeks, overlapping to ensure a seamless hand-off. In an announcement to donors this week, Dallas Foundation President & CEO Matthew Randazzo thanked Tim for his service to The Dallas Foundation and his offer to slightly delay his retirement goal of pursuing fishing on a full-time basis in order to assist with this year’s audit. We are grateful for Tim’s leadership and for helping position the Foundation for our next chapter of impact.

The Vice President of Finance and Operations position was intentionally developed to work closely with our donors and community partners.  Please extend a warm welcome to Heather as she becomes part of The Dallas Foundation’s team.
