Dallas Foundation

Our Impact

Leveraging the power of connection

The Dallas Foundation has directed more than $1 billion in grants to our community since 1929.

Through the collective power of grantmaking, strategic investments in our priority areas, and responsive grantmaking, The Dallas Foundation works alongside donors and nonprofits to address the needs shaping Greater Dallas today and build the foundation for a stronger community tomorrow.

Our Strategic Priorities

Driving Impact in Early Childhood

Every child in Dallas deserves a strong start—from prenatal to age five. That’s why we’re focusing our grantmaking on early childhood and making deeper, more strategic investments.

Expanding access to quality prenatal, perinatal, and pediatric care for all families across Greater Dallas, with a focus on early intervention, wraparound supports, and health equity.

Boosting enrollment in high-quality early childhood education programs, supporting the early educator workforce, and scaling evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs for children ages 0–5.

Connecting families to critical resources — food security, job training, childcare access, financial coaching, and legal aid — that build lasting economic resilience.
