Mercy Street is a Dallas nonprofit transforming the lives of young people through faith-based relationships. Since 2003, the organization has empowered youth in West and South Dallas by providing opportunities to grow through sports, mentoring, and leadership development. Mercy Street focuses on building meaningful connections that foster character, confidence, and hope.
Sports, Mentoring, and Leadership
Each year, over 1,200 student-athletes participate in Mercy Street’s sports leagues, including basketball, baseball, and soccer. Coaches do more than teach fundamentals—they mentor young people in teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Mercy Street also pairs youth with caring adult mentors who guide them through life’s challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
Mercy Street’s leadership programs prepare high school students for success beyond graduation. Through internships, job readiness training, and an active alumni network, participants build skills and confidence. These programs nurture spiritual growth and empower youth to become leaders in their communities.
