The Dallas Foundation Announces $2.5 Million in Funding to Support Urgent Community Needs Across Dallas County

DALLAS – Sept. 29, 2025 – The Dallas Foundation, the first community foundation in Texas, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Summer Grant Cycle. This year, the Dallas Foundation awarded 80 grants totaling $2,515,190 to nonprofit organizations across Dallas County working to strengthen families, promote economic stability, improve health outcomes, and provide support for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

The Dallas Foundation received 221 applications, representing a total funding request of nearly $9.7 million. Through a competitive review process, The Foundation selected organizations whose work aligns with its strategic priorities and reflects the most pressing needs of the Dallas community.

“Our grantmaking is focused on creating lasting impact for Dallas families by investing in organizations addressing the issues that matter most,” said Vickie Allen, Chief Impact Officer of The Dallas Foundation. “This Summer Grant Cycle reflects the wide range of needs in our community, and we’re grateful to support nonprofits meeting those needs with essential services and real change.”

Funding was awarded across three main interest areas:

  • Family & Economic Stability – Over $1.5 million granted, including food access, housing, child welfare, place-based initiatives, parks & recreation, and prison re-entry services.

  • Health – Over $700,000 granted, including breast cancer support, services for seniors, treatment of debilitating diseases, and general health initiatives.

  • Intellectual & Physical Disabilities – Over $150,000 granted to programs and services supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
